Jazz on the Bridge

How do you beat barbecue dinner and jazz music? You don't! Friday, April 20, is the annual Jazz on the Bridge event. It gets under way at 5:30 p.m. We have a great lineup from many schools and even Overland Express alumni! Our special guest is Craig Treinen, saxophonist and director of jazz studies at Washburn University. The cost is $5 for barbecue, chips, a drink and dessert.
If you can, please help make it all happen. Opportunities:
- Donate cookies or brownies (individually wrapped for one serving). They can be homemade or store-bought.
- Donate drinks (bottled water and canned pop)
Drop off donations Thursday or Friday at the band room.
- Sign up in Charms to help by chairing the event (mainly picking up the barbecue), or hellping with setup, food service or clean-up.
- Make sure your student signs up in the band room.
Even if your student isn't playing that night, please come support the cause, and enjoy a night of great music and food in the process.
