Students, with all of these performances, we NEED you to practice at home to be prepared to represent yourselves with pride.
Parents, please encourage them to play their music for you. You are also important to our success! 🙂 Students are expected to be in typical concert black for all concert band performances. OE and Jazz Lab have their uniform requirements. Solo and Ensemble performers should dress nicely. We are still waiting on a few students to log their interest in participating in the Worlds of Fun event. A couple of questions that came up were:
- If I have a season pass, will the event still cost me? Yes, but cost will be reduced because we are also purchasing a meal for everyone.
- What if I don’t like roller coasters? Can I just play the concert and go home? Yes, we can work this out at no cost to those students. We NEED everyone to participate in the concert to be successful if we do participate in the event.
Flower sale information came out last week from the BAW board via CHARMS. Please take notice and share the information with others who may be interested. Since we have not had any fundraisers this year, we need this to be able to provide end-of-the-year support and start-of-the-year support for band camp and marching band.
Coming next is a candy bar sale by the students. More information will follow shortly. However, I can say that the eight-person West dance team just raised over $2,000.
We are working on a domestic trip for next year with the marching band in the fall. No details yet to share, but we want everyone to know we are trying to get us traveling again. This trip would be at a smaller scale that would hopefully allow us to change gears if needed due to the continued possible threat of Covid -19.
Please post the above calendar someplace prominent so that nothing is missed. Each member is important!
April is Music Season. We were part of football season and basketball season – now it is Music Season! Here is wishing everyone a GREAT April!
