Come watch the Shawnee Mission West Homecoming Parade and the Shawnee Mission West Pride Band marching! Starting at 85th and Santa Fe outside of Downtown Overland Park, the parade will travel up Santa Fe to the new Thompson Park just South of Historic Downtown Overland Park.
The Band will march from West to Thompson Park just outside of Downtown OP. Busses will return the students from OP Elementary to West. All Marching Band members are expected to participate with the band, as teams tend to stand on a float. While other teams are important, the band relies on formations and having everyone present to provide the support that is needed to “hype” the groups in a pep rally.
