We made it through Marching Season! Thank you to everyone who helped with uniforms, meals, chaperoning, roadies, snacks, concessions, seat covers, water, senior recognition, and everything else. Marching season certainly takes a village! Our Band Aides West Parent Meetings for the next two months are scheduled a little differently than usual: Monday, November 1, 7:00 pm (because of Tuesday’s election) Tuesday, November 30, 7:00 pm (because we want to meet in advance of the busy-ness of December) Your three VPs of Membership, Fundraising, and Events want to try something different for the rest of the school year. West Band Brainstorming Meeting – All Parents and Students Welcome

On Tuesday evening, November 9 at 7:00, we’re having two brainstorming meetings – one about fundraising and one about recruiting students. Fundraising in the band room and Recruiting in the ensemble room (next to the band directors’ office). We would love both parents and students to attend. Tuesday at 7:00 PM, we will be talking about our upcoming fundraisers, candy bar sales, and blankets. The next events we have are Jazz on the Bridge, Percussion concert and Band Banquet. We need to also begin thinking about trip possibilities for next year. No real pressure, but it is nice to be organized and looking into the future. Please consider joining us. We NEED our parents to be counted on in the little things now, so we can prepare for the big things in the future – like trips.

BandAides Planning Meeting

We are preparing for the upcoming Pancake Breakfast concert on Saturday, February 17.  We will also probably talk about the concerts and festivals for the semester, along with the year-end banquet.  Please consider joining us so that you can find a way to plug into this incredible group of dedicated parents as they support your students.  ALL parents are supporters, we know that, but we do need a few parents who will take on small leadership roles (individually or jointly) to spearhead our efforts to encourage and provide for our students.
