Kansas Bandmasters Association – SM West Pride Band has our first performance at 9:30 AM!

Schedule from Mr. Thomas:

Saturday:  KBA Marching Festival – STRANGE schedule.  Not my desire, but due to a packed performance schedule (28 bands), we must leave the campus at noon (fire marshal’s declaration), then if we are in finals, we will drive back.  Please eat breakfast prior to arrival in the morning.  You can eat lunch when we arrive back in KC.  Similarly, if we make it into finals, please eat before arrival back at West to return.

6:15a – Call time – come in T-shirt, shorts, socks, marching shoes etc.  

Change into uniform, upon arrival at school.

6:45     Bus departs West

8:00     Bus arrives at Topeka Washburn University

Warm-up

9:30     Preliminary performance

9:50     Change into street clothes to watch other bands

Buses will depart at 10:00 to park off-campus

12:00p Depart Topeka to return to West

1:15     Uniforms hung up, Students dismissed

Keep eye on Kansasbandmasters.com website to see if we stay in top 12 to get to return for Finals.

4:30     EVERYONE returns to West to reload buses w/ uniforms and return to Topeka for finals

OR

Unload equipment trucks and go home

6:00     Arrive back at Topeka Washburn Univ. prepare to Warm-up

7:30     Finals begin

Performance time??????  (this will be announced at 5:30p)

10:15   Finals Awards Ceremony

10:45   Depart Topeka

12:00a Arrive back at West/Unload/Go home and sleep
