Rookies - those who have not participated in marching band with Shawnee Mission West - attend to get up to speed before the full band camp next week!
All marching band students shall attend the week long Band Camp to begin learning our 2021 marching routine! Each day starts at 8AM, and wraps up by 4PM.
Come out and enjoy ice cream and see what your Shawnee Mission West Marching Band student has learned during Band Camp! We'll be demonstrating the basics and the first part of our marching show for the season. We'll be located at the SM West Turf Field, bleacher seating available or bring your camp chair.
For all Band parents - come find out what we're doing this year and how you can help the band and your student succeed! We'll be meeting in the band room; plenty of space to spread out.
Saturday, August 21 the Shawnee Mission West Band and Dance Teams will be holding their Mega Car Wash at multiple locations around the North Overland Park area! Locations will be announced soon.
Come out and have your car washed by Shawnee Mission West Band and Dance students for a donation to support their activities this year - including their trip to London for the New Years Day Parade! Two Locations: Westlake Hardware, 87th and Antioch and Westlake Hardware, 87th and Lackman
Shawnee Mission West Pride Band will be performing at the halftime of the home football game! Schedule: 4:00p call time for all band members in the band room to change into uniform. You may just stay after school if desired, but you must be changing into uniform by 4:00. Come watch the Shawnee Mission West Homecoming Parade and the Shawnee Mission West Pride Band marching! Starting at 85th and Santa Fe outside of Downtown Overland Park, the parade will travel up Santa Fe to the new Thompson Park just South of Historic Downtown Overland Park.
