Thank you for working so hard to make our December concert so exquisite! Up next is the Chili Supper Concert on Saturday, February 5. This will be a concert in which students can earn lettering points for helping serve during the event. Parents, we will also need your help in various ways. Be looking for notes from our wonderful Band~Aides Executive Board and Chili Supper committee chairs.
I hope everyone was able to enjoy some downtime and be refreshed over the last week. I’ve missed all of you and am looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. Below you will find lots of notes to guide you through the next few weeks.
Let’s start off with how proud we are of the members of the marching band. While we missed finals (by 1.8 points) we still had a great season and came farther than we thought possible after our pandemic year.
GREAT job Friday night! It was exciting to have the band named as the 12th man of the game. This is a testament to the hard work that you all do. Let’s look ahead for the next couple of weeks.
Enjoy the Shawnee Mission West Pride Band performing the first movement of our marching show from the September 10th game.
Thank you to all the parents, supporters, and new friends of the band who came to get your cars, trucks, and vans washed today!
Saturday, August 21 the Shawnee Mission West Band and Dance Teams will be holding our Mega Car Wash at multiple locations around the North Overland Park area!
The Shawnee Mission West Pride Band was only able to host one public concert for the 2020/21 school year due to COVID precautions – but they make a brilliant show out of their one concert!
The Shawnee Mission West Band is proud to announce the following Seniors receiving awards for their work and demonstrated excellence in their Band career at West High School!
