Come out to the game and cheer on the band - and the football team!

Come out to one of our final games and cheer on the team.  Our band Seniors will be introduced at Halftime, and following the game we have our annual Glow Show - no stadium lights, just glow sticks and flashlights!  Always an amazing time! Schedule and Info from Mr. Thomas: Everyone needs 2 (D-Cell - flashlights), then all the glow sticks you want.  Purchase early, so you are not frantic the night of the show.  There can be no lights shinning toward the audience.  It also helps to pre-tape your glow sticks on your clothes for the night using clear packing tape.  Nothing should […]

Percussion and Color Guard, meet the week before full band camp to start practicing for the 2021 Marching Season!  Meet each day from 8AM to 4PM, starting in the band room.

Student staff and leaders day for the 2021 Shawnee Mission West Band Camp

Rookies - those who have not participated in marching band with Shawnee Mission West - attend to get up to speed before the full band camp next week!

All marching band students shall attend the week long Band Camp to begin learning our 2021 marching routine! Each day starts at 8AM, and wraps up by 4PM.

Come out and enjoy ice cream and see what your Shawnee Mission West Marching Band student has learned during Band Camp!  We'll be demonstrating the basics and the first part of our marching show for the season. We'll be located at the SM West Turf Field, bleacher seating available or bring your camp chair.
