Come out to one of our final games and cheer on the team. Our band Seniors will be introduced at Halftime, and following the game we have our annual Glow Show - no stadium lights, just glow sticks and flashlights! Always an amazing time! Schedule and Info from Mr. Thomas: Everyone needs 2 (D-Cell - flashlights), then all the glow sticks you want. Purchase early, so you are not frantic the night of the show. Rookies - those who have not participated in marching band with Shawnee Mission West - attend to get up to speed before the full band camp next week!
All marching band students shall attend the week long Band Camp to begin learning our 2021 marching routine! Each day starts at 8AM, and wraps up by 4PM.
Come out and enjoy ice cream and see what your Shawnee Mission West Marching Band student has learned during Band Camp! We'll be demonstrating the basics and the first part of our marching show for the season. We'll be located at the SM West Turf Field, bleacher seating available or bring your camp chair.
Shawnee Mission West Pride Band will be performing at the halftime of the home football game! Schedule: 4:00p call time for all band members in the band room to change into uniform. You may just stay after school if desired, but you must be changing into uniform by 4:00. Roadies will begin to load the equipment truck. 4:30p – load busses and depart for South stadium. 5:00-5:30p – rehearsal on the field at the stadium 5:45p – dinner served by BAW parents. 6:20p – dress in full uniform and prepare for pregame. 6:40p – Pregame begins.
