We invite the Band Family, friends and supporters to come out Friday, August 4th at 7:00 PM to see what the Shawnee Mission West Marching Band has learned during Band Camp 2023! Bring your lawn chairs; performance begins at 7:15 PM with Ice Cream Social following at 8:00 PM!
Come to the first parent meeting of the year to find out what makes the band tick! We meet in the band room at 7:00 PM for about an hour.

New Date - Saturday, September 9th The Shawnee Mission West Marching Band is doing a fundraiser for various band activities. We'll be open from 9AM to 4 PM at each location - thanks to Ace Hardware for the use of their parking lot! The locations are: Ace Hardware at 9301 Santa Fe Dr, Overland Park, KS 66212 Ace Hardware at 15225 W 87th St, Lenexa, KS 66219 Thanks for your support!
The Band will march from West to Thompson Park just outside of Downtown OP. Busses will return the students from OP Elementary to West. All Marching Band members are expected to participate with the band, as teams tend to stand on a float. While other teams are important, the band relies on formations and having everyone present to provide the support that is needed to “hype” the groups in a pep rally.
