Good evening, everyone.  Mini-camps; Concerts; Flower Sale information; End of year banquet - and scholarship news! Monday - Drumline Mini Camp.  All percussionists that will be involved with the marching band next year need to be in attendance as we will determine instrument/section placement to is best for both the players and the band.  We will begin at 6p and plan to go to 8p but may finish early. First of all, congratulations to the jazz students and parents for a successful and wonderful trip to New Orleans this past weekend.  I am hearing lots of great stories.  I’m so glad that we can provide this opportunity to you to broaden your horizons of jazz history and culture! Band-Aides, West, Inc. is the parent support organization for the Band and Jazz Departments at Shawnee Mission West High School. We're having our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 15th at 7:00 PM in the band room. Band-Aides, West, Inc. is the parent support organization for the Band and Jazz Departments at Shawnee Mission West High School. The organization's purpose is to encourage interest, lend support, and promote activities of the Band and Jazz departments. Hello Marching Band! The time has come - we are all in camp starting tomorrow morning at 8:00a in the band room.  I am so excited to see everyone.  It looks like we will have great weather tomorrow. The high is slated to be less than 80 when we break for lunch!  Regardless, please bring water jugs with you, sunscreen and make sure to wear tennis shoes with socks. Hats are also a good precaution. First of all, congratulations to the jazz students and parents for a successful and wonderful trip to New Orleans this past weekend.  I am hearing lots of great stories.  I’m so glad that we can provide this opportunity to you to broaden your horizons of jazz history and culture! (Apologies from your webmaster for the delay in posting this!) It's back to school already - and it's time to find out how the band works! Band-Aides, West, Inc. is the parent support organization for the Band and Jazz Departments at Shawnee Mission West High School. We're having our first meeting of the year on Tuesday, August 15th at 7:00 PM in the band room. Band-Aides, West, Inc. is the parent support organization for the Band and Jazz Departments at Shawnee Mission West High School. The organization's purpose is to encourage interest, lend support, and promote activities of the Band and Jazz departments. Volunteers serve as chaperones, equipment handlers, uniform helpers, telephone callers, organizers, helpers for events and fundraising, committee…

Marching Band Camp Monday!

Hello Marching Band! The time has come - we are all in camp starting tomorrow morning at 8:00a in the band room.  I am so excited to see everyone.  It looks like we will have great weather tomorrow. The high is slated to be less than 80 when we break for lunch!  Regardless, please bring water jugs with you, sunscreen and make sure to wear tennis shoes with socks. Hats are also a good precaution.
