About the Thor’s Hammer Show

In Norse mythology, Thor is known as the hammer-wielding god of thunder and lightning; the protector of humankind. We open the show with solos by Liam Clevenger, trumpet; and A.J. Bristow, baritone as they introduce us to Asgard – the home of the gods. In movement two we discover Thor’s hammer called “Milneer.” In movement three we meet Odin – the god of wisdom. Flute soloists in movement three are Ashlyn Loss and Maddy Quade. In movement four Thor meets the Frost Giant and a battle ensues. Soloists in this movement are Nora Loss on keytar and Paul White on trombone.
