Kansas Bandmasters Honor Band

Shawnee Mission West Pride Band is proud of these four Freshman. This summer, they were selected to participate in the Kansas Bandmasters Honor Band this past July. Students from all over Kansas applied and only 90 were selected for this one day event conducted by national renowned conductor and teacher Erin Cole from Cobb County Georgia. Well, it's easy to get started on that by enrolling in 5th or 6th grade band with Mr. Hupe! To enroll in 5th or 6th grade band simply fill out this online form! SM West Band at Graduation Tonight!

Call time is 6:15 at South Stadium to get set up and ready. We will begin playing shortly after 6:30. Dress nicely, similar to the Spring Concert. However, please note it is typically cool when the sun goes down. You will want long sleeves. Ladies, you will want something on your legs or a long dress or skirt. You will also not want to wear heels, maybe wedges, or you will sink into the turf.
