Hello everyone. We’re looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow after a long 4-day weekend.
We’re VERY proud of our students who auditioned for All-State band on Saturday. We won’t find out for a few more days if they are in or not, but it is the journey that is most important. The journey of improvement. Being accepted into this All-State band or getting a I at contest, or getting scholarships, those all give incredible feelings, but they come when someone else sees fit to bestow them. Feeling good about yourself and your accomplishments no one can give or take away!
So what is coming up you ask – well I’m glad you asked!

Center for Academic Achievement performances (Drumline and Jazz Lab) this week are for the 50th Celebration of our school district. Parents of student performers and performers, look for a separate email tomorrow about where to meet as well as a special note from the organizers. It is a ticketed come-and-go event.
Chili Supper tickets will be given to the students in the coming few days. This concert and dinner takes place on Saturday, February 15, 5:30-8:00p.m. Like all concerts, it is a required event and has been on your calendar since August. Everyone will receive 10 tickets to sell. We are already looking toward next year’s marching band show, with enhanced drill and props. We are also beginning our group lessons. We need ALL students to sell their tickets. That is how BAW earns money to pay for these extra activities and expenses. All money from ticket sales and any unsold tickets should be returned in the envelope given to the students. Thanks to all the parents for planning and organizing.
Have a GREAT week!
