How much fun was the concert on Thursday night and then the Glow Show on Friday? Way to go everyone. All of our bands had a performance this past week and everyone represented themselves with pride and greatness. You should all feel very proud of your accomplishments!
This Weeks Schedule
Monday –Normal morning rehearsal, except it is a block day. We will watch Friday night’s performance and then go outside to continue to clean for K-State this coming weekend. We will begin using college hash marks to help everyone get accustomed to what that looks like.
MVP training @ 4:00p for chaperones on the Hollywood trip or anyone else who would like to recertify. It will last about an hour in the band room.
Tuesday – Final Tuesday night rehearsal for the year.
Wednesday – Final 7:00a morning rehearsal for Marching Band! Parent/Teacher conferences in the evening.
Friday no school
Saturday – Central States Marching Festival at K-State. A detailed schedule is attached.
Parents – you will need to park on the West side of the stadium. They are not allowing private vehicles to enter the east side parking lot this year. Tickets are $10 each – even if you are helping move equipment and we still need your help. We hope to be building the props on the Northeast corner of the stadium by the entrance tunnel so we don’t have to push the equipment across the entire parking lot. I can use the Band App to let parents know where to find us if needed. Make sure and eat lunch prior to departure.
Upcoming Schedule
Monday (October 24) – 7:40a start time.
Wednesday (Oct. 26) 7:00a-7:30a Pep Band rehearsals begin for ANY band member interested in participating in the Basketball Pep Bands. These rehearsals go through the month of November on Monday and Wednesday mornings only.
Students – don’t forget, you will be meeting with your chaperones on the coming weeks. Please do everything you can to be in attendance – these meeting are for YOU to ensure you have a great time on the trip.
Chaperone MVP training in the West Band Room Oct. 17, 4:00p – EVERYONE welcome even if you are not chaperoning for Hollywood.
We’ll see you all soon.
