BRAVO to the Marching Band for their best show of the year yesterday! It really was spectacular in many respects. There were some small issues that bit us throughout the show, but the growth from the beginning to yesterday was truly amazing. Here are some highlights.

We’ll watch the video on Tuesday and talk more. Just know that we’re thankful for your work, throughout the season. Let’s celebrate the accomplishments of the year and build on them for next year. Remember how hard we have worked because to place higher, we must continue to improve.
No early morning rehearsals no Tuesday night rehearsal. This week, we do everything during normal school time!
Senior Night and Glow Show
Friday – Glow Show. Call time is 5:00p in the band room. **We will NOT serve dinner tonight. ** We will wear uniforms for Pregame, through half time. At halftime we will recognize our seniors. After that is completed, we will change into street clothes for the glow show. The show will happen AFTER the game.
Seniors and Parents – parents, please dress nicely as pictures will be taken of the ceremony. Seniors, you will wear your uniform, without hats and gloves. We’ll meet in the curve of the track with 5 minutes left on the clock – alpha by last name. We’ll walk from the back hash to the front numbers for a picture while your bios are being read over the PA system, then we’ll spread out along the front of the field.
Glow Show details. Students provide their own glow sticks – hopefully you have purchased yours already. If you need assistance, please let Dr. Thomas, or Mr. Hupe know Monday or Tuesday. You will want a dark colored shirt/sweatshirt to tape the glow sticks to with jeans, leggings, or sweatpants. Make sure they will stay up from the weight. Most folks pre-tape to their clothes the night before so they are not rushed during 3/4th quarters. When the game is over, we must be ready to perform. We will not take backdrops for this game, nor our regular show flags. DO NOT tape to school instruments in places that can be seen. Tape residue does not come off easily and can cause damage to the finish.
After the show’s conclusion, we must pick up all of our trash before we can leave.
This is always a great night. Enjoy the fun and excitement. Make sure to invite your friends to stay and watch. Parents, if you can’t come for pregame, please come after half-time – admission is free at that point – come and cheer on your student in their finale of the season!
Concert Updates
Audition music will be handed out this week for all marching band members.

London
FINAL LONDON PAYMENT – We will have a payment drop off night on Thursday, October 30 from 6-7:30p in the band room. Our London Treasurer is updating the balances in Cut Time this week so you can see exactly what is still owed. You can also make your final payment online if you wish. I will let you know when CutTime has been updated to reflect all of the payments and fundraising if you’d like to wait a couple of days to make your final payment.
Chaperones, I need to get your rooming desires in the next few days if I don’t already have them. I’ll send you all an email.
Communciation
While I will still communicate regularly the rest of the year, It will become more sporadic as our performances are more spread out. You’ll most likely hear from me every two weeks moving forward. Guard and dancers, this will probably be the last email from me unless you are going to London. Thank you for being part of the Full Marching Band. You add so much in the way of color and pageantry to our music. You are an invaluable section in our group!
