Hello Band! We have another game week ahead of us with a unique school schedule, so please read carefully – game Thursday, Spirit Wear and more!
Car Wash Pledges & Donations We are wrapping up collection for Car Wash pledges and donations. If you still have funds to turn in, please bring them on Monday or Tuesday. Parent volunteers will count remaining funds during Tuesday evening rehearsal. Please refer to the past two weeks’ emails for instructions on using the band’s Online Store for credit card payments.
Marching Band Memorization Grades Memorization grades have been entered. If a student currently has less than an “A,” it is due to incomplete music pass-offs with their section leader or director. There is still time to rectify these grades!
Band-Aides Mums Fundraiser Band-Aides West is selling Mums as a fundraiser! If you would like to purchase some to beautify your yard, now is the time—the online pre-order store closes this week: [Band Program Online Store Link]

Spirit Wear Delivery Spirit wear items will be delivered to students at Tuesday night rehearsal, or Wednesday morning for Freshman Band families.
This Week’s Schedule
- Monday, Sept. 14 (Odd Block Day):
- Since we have Friday off, Monday is an Odd Block day. Please plan accordingly!
- Marching Band will focus on putting music and drill together to finish Movement 2.
- Tuesday, Sept. 15 (Night Rehearsal & 8th Grade Visitor Night):
- Rehearsal Times: 6:00 PM–8:00 PM (Hornline & Guard) | 6:00 PM–9:00 PM (Drumline).
- 8th Grade Guests: Up-and-coming 8th graders will join us for rehearsal! They will perform the Alma Mater and Fight Song during pregame on Thursday and join us in the stands. Please take them under your wing and make them feel welcome!
- Roadies: Report for rehearsal to learn how to move backdrops onto the field and assist the pit crew with equipment.
- Wednesday, Sept. 16 (Morning Rehearsal – 7:00 AM):
- Pit will be outside on the field with us as we continue to refine Movements 1 & 2. We will run pregame during this final rehearsal prior to Thursday’s game.
- Thursday, Sept. 17 – GAME DAY vs. Mill Valley!
- 4:00 PM: Call time in the band room. We are planning to wear uniforms this week. Be sure to wear your black shorts and band t-shirt to wear under your uniform since we change together in the band room
- Required Attire: Band t-shirt, black shorts, long black socks, and marching shoes.
- 4:30 PM: Buses depart for SM South.
- 10:00 PM: Estimated return to SM West.
- Student Action Item: Please text your parents when we depart the stadium so they can meet you promptly after we finish unloading the truck and trailer.
- Friday, Sept. 18:
- No school for students. Enjoy your extended weekend!
